We should be there soon… Air Quality *75% or greater of our Particleboard purchases meet the formaldehyde emission level of the EPP CPA 2-06 Specification and the remaining 25% meets ANSI 208.1. *75% or greater of our MDF purchases meet the formaldehyde emission level of the EPP CPA 2-06 Specification and the remaining 25% meets ANSI 201.2. *75% or greater of our plywood purchases meet PS-1 for Construction and Industrial panels or ANSI / HPVA HP-1 for Formaldehyde emissions. * Mastercraft successfully implemented a pollution prevention project resulting in a reduction of VOC (volatile organic compounds) by 35%. * Mastercraft uses low HAPs (Hazardous Air Pollutants) finish material - 62.5% below Federal Standards – Federal standard requirement is .8 pounds of VHAP’s per pounds of solids for the Woodworking Industry. Mastercraft is currently averaging .3. *Mastercraft cabinets are manufactured right here in Colorado reducing environmental effects caused by shipping long distances. Resource Management *75% or greater of our particleboard purchases meets the EPP CPA 2-06 Specification for recycled / recovered fiber content. *75% or greater of our MDF purchases meets the EPP CPA 2-06 Specification for recycled / recovered fiber content. *Mastercraft has an active recycling program for process waste for the following categories: cardboard, paper, solvents, and metal. Mastercraft does not box cabinets shipped locally saving on packing material waste. * Mastercraft has a program for tracking and reducing process wastes with documented goals and reports. * Mastercraft has an energy conservation program. *Mastercraft makes every effort to use energy efficient equipment when sourcing new equipment. This practice resulted in rebates from our local electric provider of approx $7,000 for a recent project. Environmental Stewardship * Mastercraft reviews environmental practices and policies of our key vendors and contractors. This includes a landfill audit for non-hazardous waste. *Mastercraft has a written statement indicating a firm commitment to environmental quality. Community Relations *Mastercraft has zero non-compliance citations from any federal, state, or local environmental regulatory agency in the past 5 years. |
